Is a Drikung Kagyu lama who holds both Nyingma and Drikung lineage. He continues the unbroken line of succession of the Drikung Phowa lamas from the Supreme Guru Dorje Chang to the present time.
Rinpoche was bestowed the title of Choje (Dharma Master Regent) according to the Drikung Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism.

His Eminence is a high qualified master; he has been recognized as the greatest living master of the practice of Phowa, the transference of consciousness at the time of death by H.H. the Dalai Lama, H.H. XVI Gyalwang Karmapa, H.H. Dudjom Rinpoche, H.H. Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche and many other great masters of the Buddhist traditions.

Ayang Rinpoche is the Founder and Chairman of Drikung Charitable Society in India and Amitabha Foundation with Centers in America, Europe, Africa, Asia and Australia. For about 30 years ago, Rinpoche travels worldwide giving courses, lectures and teachings.
